A garden writer emergesI've been writing since 1993, when my first article was featured in Birmingham Magazine. After being published in Horticulture, I worked for several years as a technical writer, writing software manuals. I went on to become a web developer before returning to freelance writing and becoming an award-winning writer-photographer. Gardening has been my passion ever since I can remember. Although I write about other topics as well, I tend to follow my interests. Like writing, I think gardening instills its own form of wisdom. I'm a Master Gardener with a degree in Horticulture from Auburn University. I'm a member of Alabama Writers' Conclave and Alabama Media Professionals (AMP). And yes, I do grow sage. The scanned sage leaf at the top of each page came straight from my herb garden.
